Photo(s) of the week: Remembering Snowpocalypse

by Marshall on December 20, 2010

The 2009-2010 Washington DC winter saw record amounts of snowfall, including two separate epic 24-hour snowfalls. Work was cancelled, roads were impassable. We played snow football like grade schoolers. We had impromptu snowball fights. It was amazing.

Co-survivors, these are for you:

Photo of the week: Church of…Coffee?

by Marshall on December 6, 2010

Church of God "The Coffee"

Some friends and I happened upon this interestingly-named church over the weekend:  ”Iglesia de Dios El Cafe,” the sign reads. (Church of God “The Coffee”). Something tells me they aren’t serving Starbucks…

Photo taken on 4 Dec 2010 in the outskirts of El Limón, a town on the Samaná Pensinsula of the Dominican Republic.
